Henry Cele shot to fame when he played the title role in Shaka Zulu in the 1980's. He played the part so passionately, his anger smile and spirit of a warrior fitted to that you read of about Shaka Zulu. Get yourself some Zulu art clay flower pots & wooden trays .
The movie consisted of well known South African actors, who have really outdone themselves like Tu Nokwe who played the role of Shaka's wife.
This was set to be the best-known biography about the legendary Zulu King. The director of the movie was William C. Faure, who died in 1994, the movie is distinct from others of Shaka's life according to people's views.
Henry Cele delivered a perfect likeness of the real Shaka that is the reason when people talk and think of Shaka Zulu, the face and name of Henry Cele fills the picture.

was able to fit the picture perfect of the one and only Zulu warrior.

Henry Cele is no more, he died on the 2 November 2007 after he was admitted for a week in Durban hospital for a lung infection.
In 1986 he took on the role of Shaka Zulu miniseries and later a film followed about the full story of the Zulu people during the time that Shaka kaSenzangakhona was king. And from then Henry Cele was world known as "Shaka".
But it is said that before he got involved in acting,
he was well known as Henry the 'Black Cat' Cele who was excellent in soccer
playing the position of a goalkeeper. Even before he died , he was still
involved in coaching a team of soccer players. 
When the news of Henry Cele's death hit South Africa it was as if, the real Shaka Zulu has just died.
